GLP Scan is a food scanner app for people using GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro). The app is developed in the Netherlands.

2. What data do we collect?
Data stored locally on your device (never sent to us):
Non-personal data temporarily processed for app functionality:
- Your GLP-1 medication and dosage
- Weight entries (starting weight, goal weight, measurements)
- Scan history (product name, score)
- Saved recipes
- Aftercare check-ins
- App settings and language preference
Non-personal data temporarily processed for app functionality:
- Product information (name, nutritional values) is temporarily processed for AI scoring. No personal data.
- Barcodes are used to retrieve product information from an external food database.
- Purchase information is processed for subscription management via the Apple App Store.
3. What we do NOT do with your data
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
- We do not store medical or health data on our servers
- We do not share your health data with third parties
- We do not use tracking technology for profiling
4. Data protection
All personal data is stored exclusively locally on your device via AsyncStorage (React Native). You can delete this data at any time via Profile → Clear scan history or by uninstalling the app.
5. Medical disclaimer & independence
GLP Scan is a nutritional information app and not a medical device. The app does not fall under medical legislation (MDR/FDA). Scores and recommendations are informational and never replace a consultation with a doctor or dietitian. Always consult your treating physician for personal dietary advice during GLP-1 therapy.

- Deletion: Delete via the app or uninstall the app

GLP Scan is not intended for children under 12 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates the most recent version. Significant changes will be communicated via a notification in the app.
